Did you ever have a hero growing up? Maybe it was your mom, or your dad, or maybe even the milkman?
When I was about nine years old, I found my hero. I watched a movie and the most unlikely character popped out of the screen and basically became my ambition.
Do you wanna know who that hero was? I’m pretty sure you won’t believe me when I tell you.
When I was nine years old I watched Marry Poppins for the first time. Now, you probably think my hero was Marry Poppins, but you’re wrong. My hero was Bert, the chimney sweep.
I know what you’re thinking, “Hannah, why on earth would HE be your hero?” Hear me out, the reason that Bert inspired me so much was that he didn’t need magic to create the life he wanted. If he wanted to be a chimney sweep one day, he was a chimney sweep. If he wanted to be an artist the next day, he was an artist.
That magic taught me that I could be anything I wanted to be. Bert’s character showed me the power of self -creation. That’s who we are as children of God. He breathed His spirit into us. He’s the Creator, so He breathed that creative spirit in us.
What you’ll learn:
• Who was the hero that changed my life?!
• Mary Poppins, Bert the Chimney Sweep, and Faith?
• What happened at 9 years old that changed my life forever.
• God has strengthened you, prepared you, and infused you with the power to create whatever life you want.
• You don’t need magic in order to operate in God’s blessings over your life.
“And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
When we are struggling with situations, we have got to go back and say, “God, where did I get off course?” Because that’s not His will for you. His will is not that you struggle, or that you be in stress, or that you lack. That’s not His will.
Here is your challenge:
– Carve out 5-10 minutes today and ask God where it is you went off track. Then right it down, repent, and get back on track!
God’s deepest desire is to bless His children. He wants you to be able to create any life you could ever imagine. If you want to be an artist, be an artist. If you want to be a chimney sweep, be a chimney sweep. If you want to be a life coach, be a life coach. If you want to be a real estate agent, be a real estate agent. Be a real estate mogul. Don’t even put any limits on it. No more begging God to move in your situations. Get up, put on your big girl pants and your steel toed boots, and make it happen!
Here’s the deal, you don’t need magic. You don’t need Mary Poppins. You don’t need the magic. You have got all power and all authority running through every cell in your body and every neuron in your brain. You can create whatever life you desire
God’s will is for you not to struggle, but to be blessed. That’s why Jesus said, “I have come so that you may have life and abundance to the full, overflowing.” If you’re not living that life, remember, you have got the power to create whatever you want.
Don’t dream small, dream big! Go to God and ask for wisdom on how you can go about creating the life you want. Now is a good time to go watch Mary Poppins again because it’s an awesome movie. I’ll tell you what, Bert is quite an inspiration. I love you and be blessed like crazy 🙂
