You Have Two Choices!

(Which are you going to make?)

by Hannah Keeley

Have you ever started making progress toward something, and then all of a sudden out of the blue, you hit an obstacle?

Maybe you hit a road bump, and that causes something goes wrong? Look, I’ve been there, too.

Well, did you know you have a choice? There are two ways you can go. I’m going to share those two ways with you today!

You Have Two Choices!

There I was, in a hotel room, about to MC at my good friend, Jennifer Allwoods, Equipped Conference… and I had a cold.

Now, y’all know me! I believe everything physical comes out of the spiritual. So, I had to look and say, “Okay, what’s the deal here? What’s really going on here?”

We always have to ask that question when circumstances arise in our life. And then we need to make the concious decision to reframe our thinking.

What you’ll learn:

The two choices you have to choose from in unfamiliar situations.
Your brain wants familiarity.
Pushback is not a setback.
How you accomplish this goal will set the stage for how you accomplish your next goal.
Your brain wants familiarity.

2 Corinthians 10:5

“We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.”

"I believe everything physical comes out of the spiritual."

I remember talking with one of my mentors one time, and he said, “I use obstacles, I use pushback, I use all of that as a compass to know that I’m going in the right direction.” I thought that was so awesome to hear because here’s this guy, he’s super successful, multimillionaire, on his road to being a billionaire, and he’s like, “You know what? I take all of that, every time I come across it, every time I come across the problems and the obstacles and the pushback, I take it as a sign, and it’s like a compass that affirms to me I am headed in the right direction.

Here is your challenge:

  • – Choose inspiration over resignation.
  • – Reframe it.

I shared with you how I started to get sick right before the conference I was MCing at. Instead of feeling sorry for myself and choosing resignation, I chose inspiration! I thought, “You know what? Yeah, this happened, and how I accomplish this will set the stage for how I accomplish the next goal. If I can get past this, then I can get past it again and again and again.” You can too, Mama! You ARE qualified to be the best version of yourself possible.

Next Steps:

What I’m telling you today is you are probably faced with an obstacle. If you’re not, then you are not making any progress because progress is accompanied by obstacles.

So, when you face that obstacle, you have one of two choices. You can be resigned to go back or you can be inspired and go forward. Honey, don’t go back. You’re not meant to live there.

God never retreats, God is always expanding. He desires for you to always expand, too. So face the challenge, reframe it, get excited, and move past it. Just see it as one more exercise to build up your muscles to carry the enormous abundance that God has in store for you. Be blessed like crazy 🙂
