Football is Intense! So is Marriage!

Okay, so maybe I'm a bit intense. Blair knows it; he understands it; he--shall I be so bold to say it?--loves me for it! After all, marriage isn't about making it work. It's about finding joy in the joys of the other person. It's about understanding who they are and loving them just the way they are.

Take football, for example.

I was never interested in it at all. I didn't know a touchdown from a field goal. But Blair is a football fanatic. It didn't take me long to fall in love with the game (okay, so maybe I'm not in love with the game, but I'm certainly in love with Blair). One thing I adore about the fall season is watching football with Blair. I love to punch away on my laptop while I sit beside him on the sofa with a football game on the television. I even understand what's going on in the game (which is a huge turn-on for Blair). Watching his eyes light up when I say something like, "Hey, he only had one foot in the zone when he caught that!" is priceless. What can I say? It's the simple things in life that I love so much.

By the way, it was "jersey day" at our church Sunday. I wore the jersey that Blair bought me for my birthday a few years ago. He bought me a Packers jersey because he insisted I had a crush on Brett Favre. Let me just clarify--I DO NOT have a crush on Brett Favre. I just think he's an awesome, dedicated football player. And while I'm on the subject, I DO NOT have a crush on Zac Efron, either! My High School Musical messenger bag is just a great way to carry my stuff around.

LONG LIVE MARRIAGE!

LONG LIVE FOOTBALL!

LONG LIVE PATHETIC MIDDLE-AGE CRUSHES! (not that I have one, of course).

Talk About It!
