Have you ever just longed to sit at the feet of Christ, but still feel the burden of the household chores? I totally understand! That's why I hung out with Joanna Weaver the other day and talked about her book, "Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World." Joanna has such amazing insight and wisdom that I was in awe. Seriously.

This is one battle I face all the time. It seems like I just want to steal away for some quiet time with the Lord, but I'm constantly being called away by the urgent things--dinner needs to be prepared, bills need to be paid, laundry needs to be folded.

This book puts it all in perspective. Joanna gives us practical ways to step back and put it all in perspective. And listen in to the interview. She's one wise woman!

Sounds like a book that I would love to read. Trying to find time for anything is a struggle, but the kicker is you have to find time for everything or nothing.

I can't believe that this is the giveaway this week. Just the title helped me relax inside! I'm not the Martha type, and I always struggle with this. I was praying about this a couple of weeks ago, and I felt the Lord telling me He made me to be a Mary, and He created me the way I am. That was very healing for me, and started me on a journey to accept that part of me. I would love this book, in order to continue that journey.

This book sounds fantastic! My husband always calls me a 'putterer' because I cannot figure out how to set things aside and focus on what is important!

With a 2 yo, 4 yo and 6 yo and a super busy husband my name should be changed to Martha. As you said, Hannah, I too am constantly feeling that i need to just get that one more thing done even though i know that i should just stop and be Mary for awhile. I have been doing your 5 Minute Mom and learning how to plan my day so that i can spend that most valuable time with the Lord to not only help me to be a better Mom but also to be able to better handle anything that comes my way. I would love to learn how to be Mary!

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and very broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post.
