Take me out to the ball game...or not!

The whole family went to a ball game last Saturday (and I do mean the whole family--grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles). We went to see the Richmond Flying Squirrels.
But we never actually saw the Richmond Flying Squirrels.
We walked into the stadium.
We watched the storm approach.
Then we hovered near concessions while it poured down and ate Rita's Ilalian Ice (Dang! That's good!).
We saw Nutzy. Nutzy is a walking acorn. It can be a bit disturbing for young children to see an acorn walking around. Actually, it can be a bit disturbing for adults, too. But not for Kelsey and Katie!
We also saw a real flying squirrel. However, he wasn't flying. Hmmmm....I'm wondering if this whole "flying squirrels" thing is a big front. By the way, the guy with the red lipstick...oops, sorry...the guy who was eating a cherry Italian ice is Tanner, their cousin.
We did all that, but no ball game.
Oh, well. we'll take a rain check!
