Check out this picture of Michael Jordan. It seems like every single player on the opposing team is right on him. But, in usual Jordan style, he keeps his eye on the basket and not on the opposing player. In this play, he actually made the basket--even with all those players stuck to him! Amazing, isn't it?

This is how it is with motherhood sometimes. We feel like every force in the world is opposing us. God has given you big dreams and He has breathed every talent and ability within you to get those dreams accomplished. You can't look at the opposing forces. You have to keep looking at the goal. Don't take your eyes off it for a minute.

Maybe you're battling depression, poverty, marital stress, disobedience. Quit looking at your battles, and start focusing on your win. See your joy! See financial abundance! See marital bliss! See obedient children! Keep your eye on the goal and not on the forces that stand in your way.

Michael Jordan didn't score every basket he shot at. In fact, he had a pretty low percentage--one of the lowest among professional basketball players. But that is the recipe for success. You've got to keep trying and trying. Don't let the opposing forces overwhelm you. You've got to know that greater is He that is in you than any force that dares come up against you. You're already playing on the winning team! Keep taking shots. Your basket is coming.
