I didn't believe it...not even when Blair looked at his Droid (which has become a third hand) and told me it was going to snow. I said, "no way!"

But I was wrong!

I woke up at 4am the next morning and when I was walking to the bathroom, I looked outside and saw that the ground was covered in a blanket of white. It snowed! I ran over to Blair's side of the bed, started shaking him, and saying, "It snowed! It snowed!" He mumbled something I didn't understand and then rolled over.

I was so excited! I couldn't wait until the morning, when the kids got up. As soon as the first set of feet hit the floor they were all running around the house yelling about the snow. I ran downstairs and pulled out the snow bibs, heavy jackets, and snow boots and got them all covered.

Then I stayed inside where it was nice and warm and sipped coffee.

Hey, the snow is great!....I just don't want to play in it for an extended period of time.

I am from Illinois where the snow was a bit much, now that I have lived in North Carolina for almost 20 years I love it when my kids get to see snow, we get so excited for it. I hope we get at least one good snowfall for the kids to play in this winter. Glad your kids got to have some fun, it is so beautiful to have snow at Christmas too, it just feels even more magical.
