It's Valentine's Day!

Want a cool craft you can do with your kids? HERE is a free download you can do (like the one above). Just print it out, make a copy yourself (so the kids can see how the verse spaces out), and then print out one for each child to make. It's so much fun, and it really speaks about what TRUE LOVE really is.

God loved us first! Isn't that amazing? How many of us are truly willing to love first (even if it's not reciprocated). God's love is unrelenting!

I love this holiday (no matter what all the "anti-Valentine" people have to say). I think the reason there is even an "anti" movement in the first place is because our society has become very self-centered. Instead of seeing it as a day when we can consciously show love to others, we turn it around and get frustrated that we don't have someone showing love to us.

As usual, God's wisdom throws the world for a loop. It is more blessed to GIVE than to RECEIVE. That includes LOVE. Today, if you want to be really, really blessed make it a minute-by-minute endeavor to show unrelenting love to others. Don't hold grudges. Don't take offense. Do love without limits and--you want to here a real shocker?--don't expect anything in return.

Just LOVE. And see where it takes you.

Every Valentine's Day, Blair and I always fill little red "love" buckets for each of our kids. Here's Kyler's:

Each Valentine's Day morning, they wake up and search all over for their buckets. What fun!

Remember...this holiday is not about how much love you can GET. It's about how much you can GIVE. Let's throw off the limits!

Talk About It!
