Are you a BAD GIRL?

Full

Unless you've been living under a rock for the last few years, you've already come across a series of books called, "Bad Girls of the Bible." My sweet friend, Liz Curtis Higgs wrote this series. She's got her own "bad girl" story to share, so make sure you listen to this interview. She is truly a blessing and has such a heart for God. You can't listen to her without growing!

The Bible has so much to teach us, and it's not just the righteous ones we can learn from. We can also get some tips from the "bad girls" to know what NOT to do! Has a "bad girl" experience ever helped you learn? Have you learned from other "bad girls?" Or maybe you just did something really foolish or shallow and learned a lesson from it. Lord knows, I've got my fair share. I remember buying some brand spanking new bedroom furniture shortly after we were married. I bought it all on credit and then couldn't pay for it. Talk about a "bad girl" lesson. I felt so foolish when we had to sell it and watch it get carried away by someone much smarter than I had been. I learned a big lesson through that stupid move. Share your stories here and you will be entered to win a "BAD GIRL PACK." You'll win two of Liz's books! And guess what--SHE SIGNED THEM, TOO!

So, share your stories and listen in as Liz shares hers.

I bought brand new bedroom furniture when we got married as well. Only difference is we still have ours, but we still don't have any living room furniture (9 years later). The floor & card table chairs are our friends. JC

I've got the Really Bad Girl story... I grew up doing the sex, drugs and rock and roll thing. Then, when I was 17 I heard the gospel and accepted Jesus in my heart. It wasn't until I was 23 though that I accepted Jesus' forgiveness and was able to escape from the guilt. Now I'm able to help those in the same positions see God's grace!! Love this series, Thanks Liz!!

Love the lessons from Liz Curtis Higgs! Thanks! It's interesting, her comment about us girls who grew up knowing Jesus, who never became the "bad girl" ... it's amazing how the thought pops in your head telling you that you don't have anything to offer if you don't have the "bad girl" experience. I've struggled with that too in the past. But I've come to know that I have just as powerful a testimony as the "bad girl", because I love Jesus, and He loves me. Not one of us is perfect, yet we all have something to share and offer to others. Praise God for His forgiveness and grace. :)

Pride goes before a fall. Never be a know it all! I went into both teaching and motherhood with the expectation that I would be a natural. Boy was I wrong. Don't set yourself up as an expert because God will remind you that without him you are NOTHING!
