A Touch of Color

Ever since the first day that I gazed into the pages of Teen magazine, I was enamored with makeup. I still remember that tiny box with a bottle of beige CoverGirl makeup and a powder compact that my mom gave me for my thirteenth birthday. It was her signal that I was finally allowed to wear makeup, and it was as if the gates of heaven opened and i heard a chorus of angels singing. I still love makeup - not because of how it covers up but because of how it accentuates.

Take Time: You always have time to put on a little bit of makeup, even if it's just a dab of lip gloss at a traffic light or a few strokes of blush to bring out your natural glow. A few minutes spent accentuating your natural beauty will give you the boost of confidence that you need to carry you throughout your day.

Fresh and Fabulous: Keep your makeup routine fresh. Colors change with seasons, and new products come out every month. Try out a few. Find out from your friends what their favorite products are or read customer reviews on www.beauty.com.

Read Up: Beauty magazines, such as Allure or Glamour, are great resources to find out what's hot and what's not. They can also help keep you current on makeup trends. Get a subscription and keep a current copy in your bathroom or by your bed, places where you are more likely to have five minutes to yourself to flip through some pages.

Frame of Mind: Keep in mind that all of the concealer and every shade of eye shadow under the sun won't do you a bit of good unless you have the right frame of mind. You are beautiful just as you are. Makeup only helps you put your best face forward.
